If you are not familiar with Eucalyptus essential oil, you will be surprised to know that most liniments, vapor rubs and cough drops contain it. Eucalyptus has long been used in treating coughs or respiratory congestion in products like Halls cough drops and Vicks Vapor Rub. Because of it s rich content of 1.8 cineol, it offers a solution for clear and healthy breathing. (Do not use Eucalyptus if you have Asthma.) Eucalyptus is also a wonderful air purifier and can be diffused to kill germs in unhealthy environments.
How does Eucalyptus globulus work?
- Antiseptic – Inhibits the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria or fungi.
- Expectorant – Promotes and facilitates the secretion or expulsion of phlegm, mucus, or other matter from the respiratory tract.
